JEM students win national documentary award

Journalism and Electronic Media seniors Isaac Fowler and Tim Morris picked up the top short documentary award at the College Media Association Film Fest in November.

Fowler and Morris produced and directed their award-winning film, “Welcome Home Brother,” for our Vietnam veterans documentary series Defenders of the DreamTheir film documents how veterans of the Bill Robinson Chapter of Vietnam Veterans of America have found community, and healing, through brotherhood. Along with working with the Land Grant staff, Fowler and Morris were mentored by Academy Award-winning documentary producer and LGF advisory board member Rich Middlemas. “Welcome Home Brother” has been submitted to numerous competitions and film festivals.
